We are dedicated to closing the reading achievement gaps among scholars. We provide high-quality, research-based reading interventions and enrichment, tailored to your child's specific learning needs. Scholars will be engaged in hands-on learning through a multisensory learning approach. We instruct with a sense of urgency to ensure each scholar reaches their fullest potential as a reader, writer, and thinker.
Available in-person in Dallas–Fort Worth and virtually nationwide so every scholar can get the support they need.
Our Research-Based Multisensory Reading Interventions
Alphabet Knowledge
Alphabet knowledge is a strong predictor of later literacy achievement in decoding, comprehension, and spelling (National Early Literacy Panel, 2008). Scholars will learn letter names, sounds, and strokes.
Phonological & Phonemic Awareness
Readers must be able to break apart spoken words into individual sounds. This is a foundational skill for learning how to read and write. Scholars will learn how to manipulate spoken language by counting syllables, rhyming, identifying individual sounds in a word, blending, segmenting, and more. This intervention improves auditory skills and will not include print.
Phonics
Phonics instruction improves spelling, fluency, and overall reading comprehension. Scholars will learn decoding and spelling strategies. The Orton-Gillingham multisensory approach utilized in this intervention is great for scholars with dyslexia or dyslexic tendencies.
Vocabulary
Understanding vocabulary is essential because it directly impacts how well scholars comprehend what they read. A strong vocabulary not only improves reading fluency, but also helps scholars succeed in every subject, from math word problems to science texts. This intervention equips scholars with the skills to unlock new word meanings, apply context clues, and expand their vocabulary.
Reading Comprehension
The ultimate goal of reading is reading comprehension. Scholars will learn how good readers think by applying reading strategies and answering comprehension questions with leveled text. Scholars will receive explicit instruction in phonics, vocabulary, and fluency throughout each lesson to increase overall reading comprehension.
